Gratitude & Celebration A huge heartfelt thank you to the fabulous ATU School of Design & Creative Arts for the most incredible collaboration. We are so grateful to the talented students: Ava, Adam, Sinead, Kate, James, Eric, Cian and Luke — your creativity, care and innovation have truly made a difference to our classroom. From sensory books to adaptive tables, puppets, vibration resources and thoughtful storage solutions — every piece was designed with such respect for our students and their individual needs. You listened, observed, reflected and created with heart. A sincere thank you also to the wonderful ATU staff Sarah Nash, Matthew Coombes, Kenneth Nevin, Patrick O’Hare and Louise Manifold for guiding and supporting this project so beautifully. And special thanks to Deirdre Leech from the Anne Sullivan Foundation for her support and collaboration. This partnership has been inspiring, affirming and full of possibility. We are so proud to have been part of it and hope this is just the beginning

ATU Design Showcase- Creativity That Makes a Difference We feel incredibly lucky in The Willows class at Rosedale to have worked with such talented ATU design students this year. Students from a range of design disciplines – including Interior Design, Textiles, Product Design and Industrial Design – spent time in our classroom, carefully observing, listening and learning about the unique sensory and physical needs of our pupils. The results have been nothing short of amazing. The students created beautifully thoughtful, practical and innovative resources tailored specifically to our class. Each piece reflects genuine care, creativity and an understanding of inclusive design in action. On 26th February, we were delighted to attend their exhibition and see the finished projects on display. The showcase was seriously impressive, and we were so proud to see the hard work, research and dedication that had gone into every design. Most importantly, our pupils absolutely loved exploring and interacting with their new resources - each one already proving to be a great success in the classroom. We are so grateful to the ATU students for their professionalism, creativity and kindness throughout this collaboration. We look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership with ATU Design in the future.

A Magical Valentine’s Ball at Rosedale What a truly magical day we had at our Rosedale Valentine’s Ball! The room was filled with laughter, sparkle and the warmest sense of friendship and kindness. It was one of those special days where you could genuinely feel the love in the air- a beautiful celebration of connection, joy and belonging. A heartfelt thank you to Dave and the wonderful team at Boots Wellpark for so generously providing makeup palettes. Our pupils absolutely loved being glammed up for the ball - the face painting, the colour, the sparkle - it all added to the excitement and magic of the day. Lots more photos to follow. Watch this space!

Pupils in Rainbow’s class were busy creating beautiful St Brigit’s Day crosses, carefully weaving and exploring the textures of rushes as part of our celebrations. This hands-on activity offered a meaningful sensory experience while connecting with an important Irish tradition. We wish everyone in our school community a very happy St Brigit’s Day — a day of renewal, creativity and new beginnings.

Baboró at Rosedale. We were so lucky to welcome the wonderful Baboró team into Rosedale School. Through a series of immersive, sensory-rich stories, our pupils enjoyed incredible adventures together — travelling to Hawaii, sailing on ships, journeying through stormy seas, exploring the changing seasons, and even cooking with a quirky Michelin-starred chef. Each experience was carefully crafted to be exciting, meaningful and accessible, allowing every pupil to engage in their own way through sound, movement, touch and imagination. The joy, curiosity and sense of wonder were truly special, and each child gained so much from these shared adventures. A heartfelt thank you to the Baboró team for bringing such creativity, warmth and magic into our school. We will treasure these experiences for a long time to come.

Thank You to Our Community Supporters We are incredibly grateful to two wonderful local groups who recently supported our school through their community fundraising events. A heartfelt thank you to Galway Pickleball, who held a match on St. Stephen’s Day and generously donated the proceeds to our school. Their kindness and thoughtfulness mean so much to our school community. We would also like to sincerely thank Salthill Knocknacarra GAA, who donated funds raised from their club day event held earlier this year. Their continued support of local schools and community initiatives is greatly appreciated. Thanks also to Ollie Flanagan, the Carr Family and Friends in Frenchfort, Oranmore for their generous contributions from their Santa Fun Run Every act of generosity, no matter the size, helps to enhance the experiences of our pupils and supports the work we do every day. We are truly thankful to be part of such a caring and community-spirited network. Go raibh míle maith agaibh to everyone involved
