Mykola Ovcharenko, who now heads the city museum of Afghan glory, provided great assistance in the design of the museum.
The museum has a lot of materials dedicated to the heroes-students of schools of Dzerzhinsky district who died in Afghanistan, soldiers-internationalists living in the school district – Major Aksyonov A., a student of our lyceum Pokhitailo Yu.
During its existence, the museum was visited not only by students of our lyceum, but also 123helpme.me by students from other schools in the city and region, heads of educational institutions of Ukraine, foreign guests.
Today the museum continues to work and play its leading role in military-patriotic education. The search team is successfully working, which is constantly replenished with those who want to collect interesting exhibits for the museum, to discover new heroes.
The museum staff helps class teachers in preparing and conducting educational classes, lessons of courage; organizes regular meetings with veterans, congratulating them on the holidays; maintains contact with relatives and friends of veterans.
Much attention was paid to collecting materials dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Kharkiv from Nazi invaders. Many creative competitions were held. The students’ works were arranged in a collection.
The museum council maintains close ties with those involved in the fighting in Afghanistan. First of all, with the council of veterans of the Afghan war. The chairman of the council is lieutenant colonel Belous IK, other veterans are regular guests of the school museum.
The museum’s search team and lyceum students took part in a district competition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. More than 150 contestants prepared works, poems, drawings, videos.
The 14 best works won the competition.
ICT is used in the work of the museum: design technologies, interactive methods.
Search work in the lyceum turns into lessons of courage, which allow to comprehend the history of the generation, their experience.
Today, Ukraine is experiencing the greatest test in its recent history: the armed struggle for independence and territorial integrity. In this war we have dead and wounded. Since the beginning of the armed confrontation, Ukrainian servicemen have repeatedly demonstrated their courage, bravery and military skills, many soldiers and officers have shown personal heroism, and their actions can become a model for all of us. They are an important example for educating future generations. The search team of the museum began collecting materials about the heroes of Ukraine in order to perpetuate the memory of the fallen, to popularize their exploits.
Almost 70 years have passed since the Victory Day. The memory of the events of the war is stored in people’s hearts and passed down from generation to generation. We are grateful to fate for participating in the work of our museum, we are involved in a good cause – the relay race of the memory of generations …
